The letter never sent

Writing exercise: a character writes a letter and decides to keep it. What matters is not what the letter explains, but the word they cross out before sealing the envelope.

Try reading the scene with the Ashfall playlist. Change the song and notice how the rhythm shifts. Some silences carry more weight than an answer. Perhaps that is the real reason the letter never leaves the room.
